BONN: ELAINE technologies, provider of multichannel marketing automation and high-end email marketing, becomes part of UNITED Marketing Technologies by DuMont. UNITED unites a group of highly specialised and successful marketing technology companies such as censhare, facelift and quintly within the media and technology company DuMont. With ELAINE technologies, the portfolio is expanded by the leading German specialist for software-as-a-service solutions for real-time marketing automation via e-mail and mobile communication (SMS, messaging).

By utilizing ELAINE technologies’s Customer Engagement Platform ELAINE currently approx. 82 percent of the German Internet users are in contact with companies such as DHL, dm, BMW, Generali, ING, Payback or REWE. Worldwide, via ELAINE, each month approx. 2.7 billion e-mails, text messages and mobile messages are sent to 141 countries, and more than 60 percent of all e-commerce transactions are supported in Germany. ELAINE technologies’s management around Founder and CEO Stefan von Lieven, Founder and CTO Jörg Sayn and COO / CFO Bernd Weber will also remain on-board after the takeover by UNITED, and is supposed to continue to develop the company within the UNITED Group.

ELAINE technologies was founded in 2005 as artegic AG as a spin-off of the Fraunhofer Institute. Prior to the acquisition by UNITED, software investor Main Capital Partners (MCP) held the shares as investor and majority shareholder.
