Glossary: Click-Through-Rate

The click-through-rate (CTR) is a key figure in online marketing. The CTR describes a relative click rate of an advertisement. In classical banner advertising, the CTR usually lies in the percentile range, on content-related websites it often reaches up to 3 percent.

In email marketing, however, the CTR describes the relation between email openings and clicks in the email contained. In the B2C retail sector, CTR from 7-12 percent are usual.
