Glossary: Cost per Click (CPC)
Cost-per-click is a payment model in internet advertisement. Therefore, a certain amount of money is charged for every click. The advertiser does not pay a flat-rate fee but only on a performance-related basis. CPC is primarily used in search engine and affiliate marketing. Misleadingly, CPC is often used as synonym for pay-per-click (PPC), which describes the whole method CPC is part of. CPC only refers to the costs for a particular click.
