Glossary: Cross-channel Marketing
In cross-channel marketing, different (digital) channels are used for communication at the same time, e.g. email, social media, display and push messaging. The challenge lies in communicating consistently across all channels and always responding to the most up-to-date communication. Example: A user buys a product from the online shop which was promoted in a newsletter. When he is near the PoS, he will receive a push message promoting suitable cross-sells for the purchased product available at the PoS.
