Glossary: Pre-Header

The Pre-Header is the first element at the very top of each email. The Pre-Header often contains a link to the online version of a mailing with a suitable text: “Go to the online version of this email.” “If you can’t see any images, please click here!” Users with display issues in their client can then display the whole mailing with all graphic elements. Some clients show the Pre-Header already in the inbox. It is like a second subject line.
